
A stampede broke out at the Ashok Dham temple in Lakhisarai, Bihar, on the third Monday of Sawan, leaving seven women dead. More than 12 people are reported injured, and officials fear the death toll could rise further.
According to reports, around 50,000 devotees had gathered for jalabhishek on the third Monday of the Sawan month. In the rush to move ahead of one another, a barricade broke, causing people to fall over each other. This triggered the stampede.

7 women have died in the accident.
