A ferry carrying more than 260 passengers capsized off the coast of northern Cyprus on Sunday, news agency AP reported, citing local media. However, no casualties have been reported so far.
According to the same report, the catamaran-style ferry was traveling from the port of Kyrenia, in the breakaway north of ethnically divided Cyprus, to the Turkish port of Tasucu in Mersin province.
Reportedly, several companies run ferry services between Kyrenia and Tasucu, but it is not yet known which company operated the vehicle that was capsized.
So far, videos of the incident show people with life vests floating in the waters around the capsized vessel.
