Three members of a family riding a motorcycle died late Saturday night in Thrissur, Kerala. The deceased included a three-year-old child. The victims were identified as 35-year-old Muneer, a resident of Edakkazhiyur in Chavakkad, his 25-year-old wife Safna, and their son Yamil Aibak.
Police said the family was returning home after attending a wedding ceremony. During the journey, Muneer had parked his motorcycle on the side of the Guruvayur-Kunnamkulam road after receiving a phone call. At that moment, a car speeding from behind rammed into the motorcycle and ran over all three of them.
The collision was so severe that the motorcycle was completely wrecked. The front of the car was also damaged. After the accident, the driver abandoned the car and fled the scene. Police are searching for the accused.

Guruvayur police said that all three members of the family were thrown nearly 50 meters away after being hit by the car. Local residents took them to the hospital, but all three had died before reaching the hospital.
After the accident, the car driver stopped the vehicle some distance away, got out, and fled. Two people who were sitting in the back seat of the car remained there. Police have taken both of them into custody. The driver is now being searched for.
