A political controversy erupted in Maharashtra on Tuesday when the Congress used the term ‘dumb doll’ for Maharashtra’s Deputy CM Sunetra Pawar.
Eknath Shinde has strongly reacted to this remark by the Congress and called it an insult to the women of the state.
Shinde said that the Congress should be ashamed of its remarks against Maharashtra’s first woman Deputy CM.
Actually, a journalist had asked Sunetra Pawar a question regarding the law and order situation in Beed district. On this, NCP leader Dhananjay Munde allegedly defended her.
Sharing its video, the Congress said, “How long will Sunetra Pawar remain a dumb doll?”
They have stooped to a very low level: CM
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, reacting, said that this level of decline in Maharashtra’s political culture is being seen for the first time.
I think they have stooped to a very low level. Actually, they are not getting any reaction and no one cares about them.
That’s why they are resorting to such tactics to stay in the headlines. They are operating on the thought that even if it’s through our infamy, at least we become famous.

Insult to all mothers and sisters of Maharashtra: Shinde
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde strongly criticized Congress, stating that Sunetra Pawar is the first woman Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
In 2024, Congress insulted ‘Ladli Behnein’ (beloved sisters) by using derogatory language. Those very sisters showed them their place and taught them a lesson.
This is not just an insult to Sunetra Tai Pawar, but an insult to all mothers and sisters of Maharashtra. Our mothers and sisters will certainly teach Congress a lesson for this. The Congress party has lost its sense and should immediately apologize for this statement.
