A foreign donation-related bill, the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill (FCRA), 2026, is likely to be introduced in Parliament today. The FCRA law determines which NGOs, trusts, religious and social organisations in India can receive foreign donations and how they can use them. Its objective is to ensure that foreign funds are not used in ways that threaten national security or public interest.
