
The first meeting of BJP President Nitin Nabin’s new 65-member team is scheduled to take place today. The meeting will discuss strengthening the party’s ground network, tackling anti-incumbency, engaging youth, and preparations for upcoming elections.
Nitin Nabin announced the new national team of BJP on August 17. The 65-member team includes 51 new faces. It comprises 13 national vice presidents and 8 national general secretaries. This is the first major organisational reshuffle after Nabin became president.

Smriti Irani and Ram Madhav return to the new team
The team sees the return of Smriti Irani and Ram Madhav. Meanwhile, experienced leaders like Vasundhara Raje, Baijayant Panda, and Tirath Singh Rawat have also been given important responsibilities. Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, and Anurag Thakur have been made national general secretaries.
Piyush Goyal has been retained as national treasurer and BL Santosh continues as organization general secretary. Hemang Joshi has been given charge of the youth wing. Meanwhile, Deepak Mhaske has been given responsibility of the BJP IT cell, replacing Amit Malviya.
