A huge crowd gathered outside the Apple Store in Mumbai’s BKC as sales of the new iPhone 18 began. While ordinary people were seen waiting in line overnight for the new handset, several Bollywood stars also appeared to be joining the trend.
Actor Vicky Kaushal was seen taking selfies with fans after arriving at the store, while actors such as Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia, Neha Dhupia and Karishma Tanna shared pictures of their new handsets on social media.

He wrote that it was time for people to queue up to bring about change in society instead of merely upgrading their phones, because the real upgrade is building a better society.

Film industry stars have long been associated with luxury lifestyles and expensive gadgets. As soon as a new model hits the market, several stars begin appearing with it in different colour variants.
Actor Riteish Deshmukh posted a photo of himself with a blue phone on social media and wrote, “Mine is blue.” His wife, Genelia Deshmukh, along with actresses Neha Dhupia and Karishma Tanna, preferred the burgundy model and shared their pictures.
Singer AP Dhillon and actress Triptii Dimri had earlier attended an event organised by the company this month, where they met the company’s CEO.
Queues outside stores in Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru
Sales of Apple’s new flagship smartphones, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, began in India today, Friday, 18 September. Buyers are queuing outside Apple stores and authorised retailers across the country to be among the first to purchase the new iPhones.
On launch day, Apple’s retail stores opened at 8 a.m., ahead of their scheduled opening time. Apple has six retail stores in India: two in Mumbai and one each in Delhi, Noida, Bengaluru and Pune.
