
A case of molestation, assault, and blackmail has been filed against a trainee IPS officer at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA) in Hyderabad.
Attapur police are searching for the accused.
The case was registered following a complaint by a 30-year-old female trainee officer from the same academy.
Sent obscene messages on WhatsApp
According to the FIR, the woman alleged that the accused had been harassing her since June 23. She claimed that he sent her obscene messages on WhatsApp and made insulting remarks about her in front of other trainee officers.
The woman also alleged that the accused falsely accused her of being in a relationship with another trainee and repeatedly pressured her to admit it.
Snatched mobile and demanded password
The complaint stated that the accused tried to intimidate the woman and access her personal messages. On July 8, he allegedly snatched her mobile phone, kept it in his room, and forced her to provide the password to unlock it.
Attempted to kill by showing a knife
The woman alleged that on the night of July 9, around 9 pm, the accused stopped her and forcibly took her to his room.
She claimed that he pulled her hair, tried to strangle her, and held a knife against her neck.
The woman also alleged that the accused threw three packets of condoms at her during the incident.
Video made and sent to husband
According to the FIR, the accused allegedly assaulted the woman again on July 10. She claimed that he molested her, attempted to touch her private parts, and recorded a private video without her consent.
The woman alleged that the accused later sent the video to her husband to blackmail her.
She also accused him of spreading false and defamatory claims to damage her reputation.
The police are currently investigating the matter.
