Telangana CM Revanth Reddy on Saturday accused Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders of performing black magic to defame the Congress government. He said that the leaders prayed for drought in the state, farmers’ distress, and the fall of the Congress government.
Without naming him, he accused BRS MLA T. Harish Rao of going to temples in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu to perform black magic. The CM made this statement at an event in Sangareddy.
Telangana Congress President B Mahesh Kumar Goud had also alleged on August 4 that Harish Rao had performed evil worship (black magic) to stop rainfall in the state.

- The Congress government has transferred 36 thousand crore rupees into the bank accounts of 70 lakh farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
- Despite the impact of El Nio, adequate water was received in the Godavari and Krishna rivers.
- The state government is distributing more than 2 lakh quintals of rice to 3.48 crore people every month.
Harish Rao said- Will continue to raise voice for youth and students
Harish Rao counterattacked the CM’s allegations and accused him of lying on Independence Day. He said that he has been continuously raising issues like corruption, incomplete farmer loan waivers, and fertiliser shortages, which is why the CM is making such statements against him. He will continue to raise his voice for farmers, unemployed youth and students.
He also mentioned filing a defamation case regarding the CM’s allegations. Earlier on August 13, CM Reddy had also alleged that BRS leaders had performed tantra-mantra and black magic to defame the Congress government.
