An IndiGo flight traveling from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia, made an emergency landing at Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday after receiving a bomb threat. During the flight, a crew member found a tissue paper in the aircraft’s toilet with the word “bomb” written on it in English.
The flight landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Airport at around 5:55 p.m. There were 133 passengers on board. After landing, all passengers were safely evacuated and taken to Terminal 2.
The aircraft was moved to an isolation area, where security agencies searched the cabin, seats, cargo, and passengers’ baggage. In the initial investigation, no suspicious object or explosive was found on the aircraft.
