
The monsoon has entered its most active phase across India. At present, two weather systems are affecting the country. The low-pressure area that formed over the Bay of Bengal is moving across Odisha, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh today.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast above-normal rainfall over Northwest and Central India for the next 4–5 days, and heavy rainfall over Eastern India for the next 5–6 days.
Heavy rain and flooding in Gujarat have also affected Tata Motors, one of India’s largest car manufacturers. The company’s Sanand plant and several nearby supplier units have been temporarily shut down.
Meanwhile, landslides in Uttarakhand have blocked pilgrimage routes. Due to the heavy rain warning, authorities have suspended the Char Dham Yatra for two days.
In Delhi, heavy rain caused major traffic jams and left several markets under knee-deep water, slowing movement across the city.

In Gariaband, Chhattisgarh, a bike rider fell while crossing a drain; people rescued him.

In Begun, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, due to heavy rain on Tuesday evening, the Menal waterfall started flowing from a height of 150 feet.

In Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, water overflowed at Sherpur Jhareetih in Ranthambore.

Due to heavy rain in Meerut, UP, roads were waterlogged.

Rainwater flooded the roads in Khagaria, Bihar, where children were seen playing.

Due to continuous heavy rain, the Saat Kund Waterfall in Mahisagar, Gujarat, overflowed.
Tata Motors’ Gujarat plant affected by flooding
Flooding has disrupted operations at Tata Motors’ Sanand plant, located about 22 km from Ahmedabad, along with several nearby supplier units.
The company said production of the Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, and Sierra models has been affected. Restoration work is underway at both the plant and supplier facilities, and normal operations are expected to resume within the next few days.
According to Tata Motors, the flooding may temporarily affect vehicle supply. However, Maruti Suzuki has reported no disruption. Its manufacturing plant is located in Hansalpur-Becharaji, around 85 km from Sanand.

A Red Alert has been issued for Vidarbha.
A Yellow Alert has been issued for Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, and Konkan-Goa.
