Fake Ticket Examiner Caught at Majherhat Station, Handed Over to RPF

An alert passenger and vigilant railway staff led to the apprehension of an unauthorized person posing as a Ticket Examiner (TE) at Majherhat railway station on Thursday afternoon.

Passenger questions suspicious railway ticket demand

The incident came to light when the accused, posing as an on-duty railway ticket checker, intercepted a passenger on the station premises and demanded an alleged penalty. Suspecting that something was amiss, the passenger questioned the legitimacy of the demand and confronted the person.

Verification exposes unauthorized railway ticket examiner

Railway staff on duty at Majherhat noticed the altercation and immediately intervened. During preliminary questioning, the individual’s behaviour and credentials raised suspicion. The matter was subsequently escalated to senior railway authorities and security personnel for verification.
